The theme for the kindergarten classroom this year is “Dream Big: The Sky is the Limit”. One of the first activities that we did during the first week of school was to come up with ways to “soar” in kindergarten. The students came up with wonderful examples. Students said that they could “soar” by listening, being kind, following directions, making friends, learning new things, being like Jesus, helping others, reading, taking care of themselves, working as a team, and having fun! After we discussed ways to “soar”, the students made their own hot air balloon mosaic. It was a great way to start the year and I look forward to all the ways the kindergarteners will “soar” this year! -Jenny Stout
