This afternoon, the kindergarten class wrapped up their science unit on force and motion by successfully completing the end of unit performance task! The students took what they have learned over the past few weeks and worked together to create a marble run that would guide a marble from one place to another as fast as possible and then stop its motion. The studentsβ teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and application of knowledge was impressive! Way to go, kinders! We are so proud of you! Happy National Kindergarten Day to an amazing group of kinders! βΊοΈ

We hope you all can join us tomorrow for Father Christopher's 25th Priesthood Anniversary Celebration! Mass begins at 6pm in the church followed by a dinner reception and fellowship at St. Paul City Hall.

SPPS students are blessed to be given many opportunities to use their God-given talents! Student Mass is one of those opportunities! Fr. Christopher, Mrs. Moir, and the classroom teachers encourage students to take part in the choir, in the scripture readings, in the responsorial, in the prayer petitions, bringing up the gifts, and alter serving. We truly appreciate the support from Fr. Christopher and for his enthusiasm and excitement to have the students be involved! It truly is a blessing and a joy to have the students use their talents during Mass!

Mrs. Montanez took her third and fourth graders on a field trip to Champoeg State Park. While they were there, the students watched a video on the history and settlement of Champoeg, took part in a museum scavenger hunt, and walked to the Pioneer Memorial Building after having lunch in the park. It was a fun-filled day where the students were able to explore and learn more about Oregonβs history!

The 5th and 6th grade classes have been working hard on their Ancient Western Civilizations' collages! They did a great job researching, collaborating, creating, and presenting! Way to go, 5th and 6th graders!

The SPPS student body and staff love ending our Wednesdays with our "worship Wednesday" song! Thank you to Mrs. Moir who leads us in worship! What a great way to end our day! πΆβοΈπ΅

The kindergarten class is learning all about force and motion! On Monday, the students worked in groups to complete a βboulder bumpβ challenge. The students had to move the ball from the top cup or top of the hill to the bottom cup or bottom of the hill, using pushpins to change the direction of the ball. All of the groups successfully completed the challenge! The students showed great teamwork skills and had a lot of fun seeing the ball move from the top cup to the bottom cup. Way to go, kinders!
